The fierce tides have nothing on me.
Not the choppy waters,
Not the rise and fall of the crushing waves,
Not the deviant currents.
I’d push the tides aside,
I’d calm the feisty ripples,
I’d smooth the waves until they resembled glass,
I’d lasso the rush of the undertow.
If controlling an ocean that separates us is all it takes to be wrapped in your arms tonight…
Then the sea has nothing on me.
